The Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) made a one-day tour of Guangzhou with activities that included meeting giant pandas on Oct 10, practicing calligraphy, experiencing paper cutting, and playing table tennis.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. Invited by Guangdong Experimental High School, the renowned YPC arrived in Guangdong on Oct 5 for an artistic exchange tour of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Later in Guangzhou, the YPC participated in a series of cultural exchanges and city tours.

At the Guangzhou Zoo, the YPC met popular animals like the giant pandas Xing Yi and Ya Yi. For many members of the chorus, this was a standout moment. Many students expressed excitement at seeing pandas in person.

In addition to cultural activities, the students visited Guangzhou No 2 Children's Palace, where they were treated to a pop-up performance and engaged in various Chinese cultural experiences such as lion dance, martial arts, and calligraphy. The event fostered deep connections between youth from both countries, promoting cultural understanding and friendship.
