A recent demonstration of low-altitude urban flights took place in Guangzhou's CBD, showcasing a cross-river flight demonstration from the Canton Tower to Haixinsha Island.
This flight path was the same as Guangzhou's upcoming urban low-altitude air route, providing a glimpse into the future of aerial transportation.
Guangzhou is planning to create a network of low-altitude flight take-off and landing points by utilizing existing sites like green parks, parking lots, and building rooftops, establishing an urban air traffic network.
Focused on the iconic Canton Tower, the network will extend across all 11 administrative districts of Guangzhou, with the Canton Tower and Haixinsha Island acting as central hubs for take-off and landing. The network is expected to be operational by the end of 2024.
