Foreign expats celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in Yuexiu district.

The Huacheng sub-district office in Huadu district, in partnership with the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the GUANGAI Social Work Service Center, hosted an event in the Dujuan Community to foster international cultural exchanges on Sept 7.

The event included traditional Mid-Autumn activities like carnivals and lacquer fan and gray sculpture experiences. Additionally, a riddle solving area was set up on-site to further engage participants in the festive ambiance.

In recent years, Guangzhou has been advancing its internationalization efforts, including the development of 12 internationalized districts. The Dujuan Community has been actively participating in cultural exchange activities during festivals like the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.

These initiatives aim to strengthen emotional bonds and cultural connections between local and international residents, fostering mutual understanding and respect among individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. This has led to the creation of a harmonious, vibrant, and culturally diverse international community in Guangzhou.
