After four years of construction, Canton Tower Plaza has recently passed its final inspection and is set to open by the end of this year.
Covering approximately 114,000 square meters, the Plaza is a new urban landmark on Guangzhou's central axis. As a one-stop destination for cultural, commercial and travel experiences, it is poised to become a future benchmark commercial complex in Guangzhou.
The project features an above-ground civic plaza on two levels, along with one floor of commercial space above ground and two underground levels. It will host theaters, the first stores, flagship stores, and concept stores of high-end brands from both China and international markets, aiming to cater to a diverse range of consumer needs for both locals and tourists.
Canton Tower Plaza, centered around the Canton Tower, features a three-part layout of gardens, plazas, and gardens, imitating "ripples in the water ", extending throughout the plaza and green spaces. The Pearl River views integrate with the concept of "Pearl Water Ripples, Dancing Flower City ", presenting significant charm. The mall establishes a "double first-floor" shopping area and plans five major space sections including two sunken courtyards, a water feature art exhibition and the Lingnan New Garden, incorporating Lingnan elements to create a new urban landscape that blends traditional cultural memories with modern technology.
By the end of 2024, Canton Tower Plaza will become a benchmark commercial complex in Guangzhou. It will feature first stores, concept stores, and flagship stores from both home and abroad high-end brands. The Plaza will connect various cultural and tourism resources, including the Guangzhou International Media Harbor , Guangzhou Art Gallery, Guangzhou Science Center , and the future Guangzhou Museum . It is set to become a one-stop leisure and shopping destination, meeting the consumer needs of the Canton Tower business district.
Currently, the northern side of the Canton Tower Plaza is served by the Guangzhou Metro Line Three and APM Line. In addition to the under-construction Metro Line 12, the Guangzhou municipal government plans to introduce five more metro lines, including Lines 20 and 28, linking north and south through Canton Tower Plaza, making it a major transportation hub. The annual foot traffic in the business district is expected to exceed 50 million, significantly enhancing its attractiveness.
