The Malaysian media delegation pays a visit to WeChat headquarters.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Malaysia, a Malaysian media delegation visited Guangzhou from Aug 19 to 20.
During their stay, the delegation explored local businesses and toured the Guangdong Museum, gaining valuable insights into Guangdong's impressive development and immersing themselves in the vibrant cultural heritage of Lingnan.
Over the past five years, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has emerged as one of China's most open and economically dynamic regions, witnessing rapid advancements in scientific and technological innovation. During a visit to iFlytek, delegation members were impressed by the cutting-edge products on display, with many capturing the experience on their smartphones.
During their visit to the WeChat headquarters, delegation members tried self-service shopping by scanning a QR code and placing orders on their smartphones.
At the Guangdong Museum, delegation members immersed themselves in the captivating history of Cantonese export wares and reflected on the enduring camaraderie along the Silk Road between China and Malaysia. Positioned as a key nation along the ancient Maritime Silk Road and an early advocate of the Belt and Road Initiative, Malaysia looks forward to a bright future of enhanced collaboration under this initiative.
"During our time in Guangzhou, we are committed to exploring common cultural threads and identifying avenues for cooperation between China and Malaysia," emphasized Razali Baba, director of Radio Televisyen Malaysia.
