China Southern Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding with Mastercard, Airbnb and zuzuche.com to jointly promote the high-quality development of the culture and tourism industries of China and the United States.
Under the MoU, the four parties will work to provide high-quality cultural and tourism products and services for various consumer groups, including tourists, international students and business people in the coming months.
China Southern said on Thursday that it will expand and deepen areas of cooperation to create a high-quality product and service supply chain focused on the needs of passengers in areas such as food, accommodations, transportation, entertainment, travel and shopping.
Meanwhile the airline will become compliant with the direction of mobile internet technology and new retail business models and implement the overall requirements of supply-side structural reform, as well as promote the exploration and construction of industrial and supply chains, it said.
The MoU was signed during the 14th China-US Tourism Leadership Summit, which opened on Wednesday in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.
Kong Zhiqiu, head of Airbnb China, said Airbnb has always been committed to promoting communication between people and building a more inclusive community on a global scale.
"Through this cooperation, Airbnb looks forward to working with all partners to jointly promote the prosperity and development of the tourism industry between China and the United States, strengthen communication and understanding between the two peoples and contribute to a win-win cooperation model," Kong said.
"Airbnb will continue to explore new cooperation opportunities and promote tourism and cultural exchanges between China and the United States to a new level."
