The Bai'e Tan Greater Bay Area Art Center in Guangzhou's Liwan district is set to open during the May Day holiday. It will be lighted up from 7:30 to 8 p.m. every night from April 21, enabling citizens to have a glimpse of the charms of the new landmark. 

The art center in the light shines brightly, liking a giant ship about to set sail. The art center is composed of the Guangdong Museum of Art, the Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Center, and the Guangdong Literature Center. 

Located in Bai'e Tan by the Pearl River in the Liwan district of Guangzhou, the building was designed by He Jingtang, a renowned architect and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. There are two floors underground and 11 floors above the ground, with the tallest section being 78.2 meters.

The project received the Gold Award for Construction Engineering Steel Structure, the highest honor in China.
