The "Green and Beautiful Cities and Better Living" sub-forum, part of the 2023 Global Mayors' Forum, was held in Guangzhou on Dec 8. 

The forum focused on the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature and the construction of green cities. The conference discussed innovative strategies to actively address climate change and promote sustainable urban living environments.

Mayors and experts from various countries shared their experiences and practices, such as Guangzhou's successful cases.

The discussions also covered the application of innovative technologies in promoting sustainable development, such as the project in Tehran that uses agricultural waste to replace chemical raw materials and the waste treatment and recycling case that was shared by Guangzhou Environmental Investment Group.

The sub-forum emphasized the importance of a people-centric approach, public participation, and innovative technologies. It aimed to collectively explore coordinated economic and environmental development.
