The 2023 China-France Friendship (Guangzhou) Cycling Event was held on Nov 18 in Huadu district, Guangzhou, marking the start of a four-day, 400-kilometer cycling journey for the participants.

The consulate of both China and France expressed their support for this event. Organized by the Sun Trip Association from Lyon, France, the event aims to promote pollution-free travel and showcase the friendship between China and France.

Florian Bailly, the founder of the event, expressed his hope to hold this event annually in China. This year coincides with the 35th anniversary of a Friendship City relationship between Guangzhou and Lyon. The event not only highlights Huadu's international image and Guangdong's culture, but also exemplifies the friendly relations between China and France.
