A photo exhibition featuring China-Georgia friendship and sister cities opened in Guangzhou Library on Nov 6.
The exhibition not only reinforced the amicable relations between the two nations but also showcased the unique chemistry between two pairs of Friendship Cities – Tbilisi and Guangzhou as well as Rustavi and Shaoguan.
Officials from the two Georgian cities --Tbilisi and Rustavi -- also participated in the event online and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
The photo exhibition selected 50 pieces that vividly captured the beautiful moments and culture between the two pairs of cities. It is not just a visual delight but also an embodiment of cultural exchange, highlighting the important role of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative in facilitating people-to-people bonds.
Furthermore, the exhibition marked another chapter in the longstanding friendship between China and Georgia. The two nations will make joint efforts to contribute to the development of a global civilization.
Since Guangzhou and Tbilisi became sister cities in 2014, their exchanges and cooperation in various fields have become increasingly intimate. The friendship between Rustavi and Shaoguan has also been steadily developing since 2017, with significant achievements in area such as bilateral trade, and technology.
