To commemorate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy in Fiji hosted a reception in the capital of Suva on Sept 25th, with a special performance by the Guangzhou International Friendship Cities Cultural and Art Troupe. 

The Lingnan-style performance was warmly received and praised by Fiji's political and business sectors as well as the local Chinese community.

The Guangzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism stated that the cultural exchange aimed to promote Lingnan culture, showcase the story of Guangzhou, and present a positive image of China, further deepening understanding and friendship between the people of China and Fiji. 

Both sides are hopeful for more collaboration and exchange opportunities in the future.
