Huadu district in Guangzhou recently hosted a special Sino-foreign exchange activity.
Over 20 Chinese and foreign residents in Huadu participated in this cultural experience and exchange event to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.
The event featured introductions to the origins of the Dragon Boat Festival and its folk customs, including dragon boat races, rice dumplings, and traditional crafts. Volunteers demonstrated the art of wrapping rice dumplings, and foreign residents had the opportunity to taste the delicious and unique flavors of this traditional treat for the first time.
This activity served to deepen the understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture among foreign residents, while also enriching their leisure time. It also fostered friendly neighborhood exchanges and interactions between Chinese and foreign residents, which contributes to a harmonious community atmosphere.
