The 2023 World Ultra High Definition (Ultra-HD) Video Industrial Conference was held in Guangzhou from May 8 to 10.

The conference included keynote speeches, roundtable discussions with entrepreneurs, and the first-ever concentrated exhibition of key technologies and core components for Ultra-HD videos. 

The Ultra-HD Video Industry Development Conference has so far held four sessions, becoming an annual event with significant influence and a broad impact on the global Ultra-HD video industry.

The China (Guangzhou) Ultra-HD Video Innovation Industrial Park has become a new model for digital economic development. Some 74 companies have already settled in the park, of which 73 percent are Ultra-HD video and broadcasting companies. 

The registered capital of these companies exceeds 42 billion yuan ($6.56 billion), and they have driven related industries to a scale of over 53 billion yuan. 

The park has accumulated several national titles, including National 3A-level Tourist Scenic Area, National Copyright Demonstration Park (Base), and National Advertising Industrial Park. It has also been awarded several provincial and municipal titles, such as Guangdong Provincial Cultural and Technology Integration Demonstration Base, Guangdong Provincial Cultural Industry Demonstration Park, Guangdong Provincial Science Popularization Education Base, and Guangdong Provincial Copyright Industry Demonstration Base.

Guangzhou insists on utilizing a three-in-one approach for Ultra HD technology research and development, content production, and innovative applications. This allows the city to precisely focus on the manufacturing, content, and application areas within the Ultra-HD Video field. 

Currently, there are nearly 350 large-scale Guangzhou-based companies in the Ultra-HD video field. Additionally, the output value of the city's Ultra-HD video and new display industries exceeds 200 billion yuan.

Guangzhou is currently promoting comprehensive industrial development to support the Ultra-HD video industry. It has related work plans and action plans in place, as well as special funding incentives for the China (Guangzhou) Ultra-HD Video Innovation Industrial Park. Additionally, Guangzhou is providing funding support to Ultra-HD video innovation projects and to enterprises that produce high-quality Ultra-HD movies and documentaries.
