From April 19 to 21, an Azerbaijani delegation visited Guangzhou, led by Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan. 

Representatives from the Eurasian Division of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries accompanied the delegation.

Li Xiaoqin, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress, met with the delegation. Both sides discussed strengthening exchanges between Guangzhou and Azerbaijan regarding governance. They also discussed promoting cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and culture. 

During their stay in Guangzhou, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Yuexiu Park, Yongqingfang, and the Canton Tower. They deepened their understanding of the city's rich history, cultural background, and modern urban landscape.
