Guangzhou signs 443 projects with global executives

The 9th China (Guangzhou) Annual Investment Conference was held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center from April 17 to 18.

With the theme of "Investing in Guangzhou, Investing in the Future," the conference featured one main forum, 18 parallel sessions in various sub-venues, eight overseas sessions, and the Guangzhou Night event. 

Over 1,000 delegates, including top executives and innovators from 96 Fortune 500 companies, 64 State-owned enterprises, 64 investment institutions, and eight global unicorn enterprises from 19 countries and regions, attended the event, along with 47 foreign consuls-general in Guangzhou.

A total of 443 projects were signed at the conference, involving more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Canada, and the Netherlands. 

The projects cover strategic emerging industries such as advanced manufacturing, automobiles, new-generation information technology, and new energy. Among them, 172 were manufacturing projects, accounting for about 40 percent of the total.

In the future, Guangzhou will work together with its global partners to invest in the city, actively playing its role as a bridge link. It will also continue to gather more high-quality resources and projects for the city, enabling the high-quality development of all of its industries.
