On March 16, the Ministry of Commerce held a press conference in Guangdong. Shu Jueting, the media spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, announced that the 133rd China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will resume its on-site exhibition.

The 133rd Canton Fair will take place in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5, and will be divided into three phases. This will be the first time that the newly completed exhibition hall will be used, with an expanded exhibition area of 1.5 million square meters. There will be 54 specialized exhibition zones, with over 30,000 onsite exhibitors, including more than 5,000 high-quality enterprises. This year's online platform will allow all eligible enterprises to participate in, and there are more than 35,000 companies expected to join.

As an essential window for China's opening-up and a crucial platform for foreign trade, the Canton Fair receives extensive attention from the global business community and various sectors of society. During the pandemic, the Ministry of Commerce held six consecutive online Canton Fairs, stabilizing the foreign trade industrial chain, and supply chain. With the optimization and adjustment of China's pandemic prevention and control policies, domestic and foreign enterprises are now able to participate in on-site exhibitions.

This year's Canton Fair will increase investment promotion efforts to attract more domestic and foreign purchasers. Over 40 supply and purchasing matchmaking events will be organized to help enterprises secure orders and expand their markets.
