A jewelry cultural experience activity was held online in Guangzhou's Panyu district on Dec 10 as part of a series of international cultural exchange activities for the 2022 calendar year.

Chinese and foreign friends from Panyu district's Clifford International Community were able to experience Guangzhou's jewelry, fashion culture, and enamel craftsmanship by viewing Panyu's original jewelry crafts online and making imitation pieces of enamel jewelry by hand.

Guangzhou Panyu district is a world-renowned jewelry industrial center, with over 400 jewelry enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions around the world working out of the district. It has formed a complete jewelry industrial chain by integrating raw material trading, gemstone processing, original designs, marketing, and supporting services.

Panyu jewelry has continued to improve its original designs in recent years, moving from jewelry manufacturing to creating and polishing the world brand of Panyu jewelry.

The event presented dozens of original pieces of Panyu jewelry online, including Guangzhou's city flower, the kapok.

With distinct Lingnan characteristics being incorporated into the jewelry pieces using traditional inlay techniques, the combination between Lingnan style and exquisite jewelry piqued the curiosity of both Chinese and foreign acquaintances.

The event, which takes place at the Clifford Estates, aims to further promote the pilot construction of the city's internationalized neighborhood, showcase Panyu district's featured industries and Lingnan traditional culture, and promote the multicultural blend of Chinese and foreign residents throughout the community.
