Yekaterinburg, a Russian city that is a Friendship City of Guangzhou, held the 6th All-Russian Strategic Development Forum, which was themed "Russian City 2030: Challenges and Actions," both online and offline on Nov 16 and 17.

Deng Kanqiang, deputy director of the Guangzhou municipal planning and natural resources bureau, attended the forum's online "International Urban Project Marathon" meeting on Nov 17 to share Guangzhou's experiences in urban protection and development. 

In addition to Guangzhou and Yekaterinburg, representatives of Minsk in Belarus, Qiqihar in Heilongjiang province, Qingbaijiang district in Chengdu, Uzbekistan, as well as South Korea attended the meeting.

Since the establishment of this relationship in 2002, the two cities have maintained frequent communications and visits. They have also actively carried out exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, sustainable development, urban planning, anti-COVID-19 epidemic cooperation, culture, as well as education.
