In the past few days, most of Guangzhou's new cases were still from high-risk areas in Haizhu District. Other areas in the district also saw sporadic cases. According to experts' judgment, the COVID-19 situation in the district remains on a high plateau, where the risk of infection has not been completely eliminated, bringing great complexities and challenges to our epidemic response.

In order to safeguard people's health and safety, we have made a deliberate decision to extend the measures stipulated in the Notification of Extending COVID-19 Control and Prevention Measures in Certain Areas of Haizhu District (issued on November 13, 2022) till 24:00 on November 19, 2022.
