On November 12, 2022, Guangzhou reported 189 locally-acquired cases, among which 171 were found among people under centralized quarantine, 16 were found among people under mandatory home quarantine, one was found among people in high-risk areas, and one was found among close contacts. Guangzhou also reported 3,464 locally-acquired asymptomatic cases, among which 675 were found among people under centralized quarantine, 2,744 were found among people under mandatory home quarantine, 20 were found in district-wide PCR testing, 11 were found among people in high-risk areas, six were found among people under closed-loop management, three were found among close contacts, two were found in voluntary PCR testing, two were found among people with high exposure risk, and one was found in low-risk areas. Besides, 473 locally-acquired asymptomatic cases previously reported turned into confirmed cases. The above 3,653 patients have already been transferred to designated hospitals for isolation and treatment and are in stable condition. Their close contacts have been placed under centralized quarantine, and relevant control measures implemented in key sites of transmission. In addition, Guangzhou reported three imported confirmed cases and two imported asymptomatic cases. And three imported asymptomatic cases previously reported turned into confirmed cases.

As of 24:00, November 12, 2022, a total of 32,283 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 8,514 confirmed cases (2,745 imported cases and 5,769 locally-acquired cases), among which 3,914 cases are still being treated in the hospital. There are 23,769 asymptomatic cases (3,662 imported cases and 20,107 locally-acquired cases), among which 18,833 cases are still under medical observation.

Details of the Three Imported Confirmed Cases and Two Imported Asymptomatic Case

The three imported confirmed cases are travelers from Laos (1), Singapore (1), and Solomon Islands (1). The two imported asymptomatic cases are travelers from Pakistan (1), and United Arab Emirates (1).

Upon their arrival in Guangzhou, all the imported confirmed and asymptomatic cases were transferred to hotels for centralized quarantine. They tested positive for COVID-19 during quarantine and were transferred to designated hospitals for isolation and treatment.
