The 7th United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) World Congress and Summit of Local and Regional Leaders was held in Daejeon, South Korea from Oct 10 to 14.

At the meeting, the UCLG Governing Body was elected for a new round, and Guangzhou was re-elected as a member city of the Executive Board of the UCLG and the World Council.
