The newly completed Caihongqiao Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 8 officially starts service this morning. Its three entrances and exits, namely A, C and D are also put into use simultaneously today.
Caihongqiao Station is located on the south side of the intersection of Liwan Road and Dongfeng West Road, near Liuhuahu Park and Xihua Road.
As an important interchange station, Caihongqiao connects Line 8, Line 11, and Line 13 as a transit hub. The construction area of the station is about 86,000 square meters, which is equivalent to 4 normal stations.
Caihongqiao Station has set up a newly upgraded intelligent customer service center in accordance with the current Guangzhou Metro line standards. With the help of intelligent devices, passengers can get access to ticket/card service, electronic invoices, voice inquiries, information inquiries.
Moreover, the intelligent customer service center also provides human-computer interaction (HCI). Passengers can interact with the intelligent robot "YOYO" by way of voice inquiries and screen clicks, so as to check fares, routes, transfers, station layouts, and so on.
