Zhang Yajie, the vice-chairman of the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, as well as co-president of United Cities and Local Governments ASPAC, attended and delivered a speech at the 2nd Online Medical Seminar of the Asia-Pacific Telemedicine project of the UCLG on Sept 13.
The seminar focused on the "Prevention and Treatment of Children Growth Retardation under the COVID-19 Epidemic."
In her speech, Zhang introduced Guangzhou's practices in the prevention and treatment of children's growth retardation, insisting on giving priority to children, as well as promoting the development of women and children.
She also called for cooperation among the member cities in the Asia-Pacific region of the UCLG to jointly enhance the protection of the health rights and interests of women and children in the region.
