Recently, the first dedicated health service centre for Hong Kong and Macao residents in the mainland was officially opened in Guangzhou, offering medical services on par with Hong Kong standards. 

The centre will offer GP(General Practitioner) services to residents of the two special administrative regions based in Guangzhou, and will link with specialists and specialised care at local hospitals. 

A medicine collection service will also be made available so that Hong Kong and Macao residents can collect prescriptions in Guangzhou. 

According to CMG, more such medical centres are set to be opened across the Greater Bay Area. The location of the first health centre, the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Intelligent Manufacturing Cooperation Zone, was chosen due to the number of Hong Kong-funded enterprises in the area.
