Guangzhou mayor Guo Yonghang met with New Zealand's ambassador to China Clare Fearnley on Aug 15.
Guo said that economic and trade exchanges between Guangzhou and New Zealand have been going smoothly. He expressed hope that Guangzhou and New Zealand would deepen the cooperation of the Guangzhou-Auckland-Los Angeles Three-City Economic Alliance, continue to expand the areas of cooperation, as well as make new contributions to deepening the relationship between the two countries.
Fearnley said that New Zealand cities and Guangzhou have a long history of exchanges, as well as strong friendly relations. She expressed hope that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of technological innovation, business environment, education, as well as culture.
