The Wenqin Pavilion, the China National Archives of Publications and Culture branch in Guangzhou, which was created for the collections, exhibitions, research, and dissemination of bibliographies, was inaugurated on July 30.
Wenqin Pavilion is located at the foot of the Phoenix Mountain alongside the Liuxi River in Guangzhou's Conghua district, covering an area of 246,900 square meters.
The branch has built four centers for Chinese publications based on its four functions. More than 8 million Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan publications and around 2 million key overseas publications have been collected. The branch is also promoting a special collection of publications by Guangdong science and technology enterprises.
A world-class display window for Chinese publications and culture is also set up in the branch, along with four permanent exhibitions and three thematic exhibitions.
The branch will also make use of contemporary technologies like digitalization and virtual reality to create an intelligent business system with areas for administration, protection, and preservation as well as to create an integrated mode of entity and digital archive development.
