Huangpu District issued a notice on July 31 about the detection of a positive case in a fever clinic. Below is the full text of the notification. 

Notification of Huangpu District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center

Huangpu District identified a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 at a fever clinic on July 30. We hereby notify the following information:

The patient is an 18-year-old girl who lives in Building H1 Aoyuan Plaza, Huangpu District. She visited the fever clinic of Guangdong Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Huangpu Hospital on the evening of July 30 and tested positive for COVID-19. She was tested again on July 31 and confirmed as a COVID-19 patient. She has been transferred to Guangzhou No. 8 People's Hospital for quarantine and treatment and has been diagnosed as a confirmed COVID-19 patient with mild symptoms. Exposure sites have been cordoned off and disinfected, and environmental samples tested negative for COVID-19.

Residents of the aforementioned areas are advised to actively cooperate with the subdistrict and community authorities to take necessary COVID-19 containment measures such as taking the PCR testing. We appreciate your understanding for the travel disruptions caused by containment measures. The measures above will be implemented starting from July 31, 2022. They will be adjusted in a timely manner in line with developments in the epidemiological situation.
