The 2022 World Youth Development Forum opened in Beijing on July 21, with the Guangdong Youth Federation holding the Guangdong section of the forum in Guangzhou on the same day.

Youth representatives in Guangdong gathered at the Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Association Headquarters in Guangzhou to participate in the opening ceremony, as well as the plenary meeting of the forum online.

Before the meeting, the youth representatives participated in exchange activities related to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, learnt about the construction background, development history, and future planning of the Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Association Headquarters, as well as discussed its entrepreneurial supporting services.

This forum aims to pool as much support as possible for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

With the theme of "For a Shared Future: Promoting Sustainable Development with Youth and for Youth," the forum was divided into four themed forums of "Employment and Entrepreneurship," "Climate Change and Green Development," and "Digital Economy," as well as "Inclusive and Fair High-quality Education." 

During the forum, the International Initiative on Priority Development for Youth was issued to the world.

This forum was hosted by the All-China Youth Federation and co-organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, as well as other organizations.
