Eighty Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan students from universities like Sun Yat-sen University and Jinan University have started a five-week internship at around 30 Guangzhou units in the summer holiday period.

The 2022 summer internship event for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan college students (Guangdong branch) kicked off in Guangzhou's Nansha district on July 8. Co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, as well as the Ministry of Education, the event is meant to enhance communication and professional cultivation for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan youth.

Among them, 24 students chose to have their internships in Nansha. In recent years, Nansha has issued measures to support the innovation and entrepreneurship for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan youth, establishing a provincial interaction promotion center, as well as 11 entrepreneurship bases that are home to over 300 enterprises.

Nansha's "hundreds of enterprises and thousands of talents" internship program has now attracted nearly 2,000 students from Hong Kong and Macao, which will be continuously pushed forward by the local government.

A Macao youth who has settled in Nansha said that he has already applied for the district's permanent resident permit for talents to enjoy the benefits related to children's education and home purchases.
