From June 29, Guangdong implements "7-day centralized quarantine + 3-day home health monitoring" for close contacts and inbound arrivals, according to an emergency notice issued by the Health Commission of Guangdong Province.

Oropharyngeal swabs will be collected and tested on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th day of centralized quarantine and on the 3rd day of home health monitoring.

On the seventh day of centralized quarantine, specimens shall be collected from people, objects, and the environment – including oropharyngeal swabs, cell phone surfaces, pillow covers, and bathroom door handles.

Those who undergo quarantine shall take a nucleic acid test with one swab and wait for the result to come out within 12 hours. If all the results come out negative, the individual can leave the centralized quarantine venues.

If the objects and environment are tested positive, the individual tests negative, he/she can leave the centralized quarantine venues.

For qualified personnel who are currently undergoing health management, Guangdong will lift centralized isolation in a timely manner.

After having moved into the centralized quarantine venues, the quarantined persons should fill in the destination information within 2 days, and the community shall not refuse them on returning to the community on the grounds that they do not meet the conditions for home health monitoring.

The Yuekang code for people who are released from centralized isolation will be changed from red into a green one. After quarantine is completed, arrivals shall return to the destination as soon as possible, and choose direct trains/flights instead of stopovers.

China no longer marks cities with COVID infections in travel tracking system to balance epidemic control and socioeconomic development, facilitate traveling starting from Wednesday, according to Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
