On May 8, Guangzhou reported 4 local confirmed cases (1 was previously reported as an asymptomatic case), 1 local asymptomatic case, 7 imported confirmed cases (1 was previously reported as an asymptomatic case), and 12 imported asymptomatic cases. Nine COVID-19 patients have been newly discharged, while 165 still remain in the hospital.

As of 24:00 May 8, 2022, a total of 5,697 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 2,790 confirmed cases (1,846 imported cases and 944 local cases) and 2,907 asymptomatic cases (2,650 imported cases and 257 local cases).

Notification of Readjustments to the Lockdown, Partial Lockdown and Restricted Zones in Baiyun District (No. 44)

Based on the comprehensive assessment of the current COVID-19 situation and the differentiated management measures, the lockdown, partial lockdown and restricted zones in Baiyun District are hereby adjusted as follows:

I. Containment measures will be lifted in Tonghe Subdistrict. The area will be placed under normalized administration.

II. Grid No. 8 (Suihe Community) and Grid No. 21 (Minqiang Village), Renhe Town have been adjusted as restricted zones.

III. Lockdown zones (No. 25, 27 and 29, Xicheng Yao'an Road; No. 2 and 4, 25th Lane, Xicheng Yayao; No. 2 and 4, Xicheng West 1st Lane; No.2 and 4, Xicheng West 3rd lane; No. 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62 and 64, Xicheng Huaxi Road Inner Street; No. 5, 7 and 9, Xicheng East 20th Lane; No. 5, 7 and 9, Xicheng East 22nd Lane; No. 5, 7 and 9, Xicheng East 24th Lane; Xicheng Village, Renhe Town) in Grid No. 2 (Xicheng Village); lockdown zones (the area encircled by No. 13 5th Lane, Yahu Siwei Street; No. 3 North 4th Lane, Yahu Julong Street; No. 2 North 4th Lane, Yahu Julong Street; No. 6 North 4th Lane, Yahu Julong Street; Yahu Village, Renhe Town) in Grid No.10 (Yahu Village); and Guangdong Lingcai Technical School, Grid No. 3-7, Gaozeng Village have been adjusted as partial lockdown zones.

IV. Grid No. 15 (Aigang Village, excluding No. 100, 101, 102, 103 and 105, Gangtai Road as well as No. 32 and 34, West 1st Lane Aigang Minle Street), Grid No. 24 (Daxiang Village, excluding No. 16 and 18 Daxiang East Street as well as No. 1 4th Lane Daxiang East Street), Grid No. 25 (Xinlian Village, excluding No. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 North 4th Lane, Xinlian East Road as well as No. 5, 7 and 9, North 3rd Lane, Xinlian East Road), Grid No. 34 (Mingxing Village, excluding the lockdown zone: the area encircled by Mingxing Road in the east, Xintang West Street in the south, Renhan 3rd Road in the west, No. 18 Xixing Street in the north; and partial lockdown zone: Mingxing Road – 13th Lane Xixing Street in the east, Xintang West Street in the south, Renhan 3rd Road in the west, and Mingxing Middle Road in the north) in Renhe Town have been adjusted as restricted zones.

V. Containment measures in other lockdown and partial lockdown zones in the district will remain in place as required by Baiyun District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center.

The new adjustments herein will take effect from the issue date of this notification.
