Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for April 24

On April 24, Guangzhou reported 3 local confirmed cases, 1 imported confirmed case (previously identified as an asymptomatic case), and 5 imported asymptomatic cases. Fourteen COVID-19 patients have been newly discharged, while 219 still remain in the hospital.

As of 24:00 April 24, 2022, a total of 5,425 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 2,624 confirmed cases (1,818 imported cases and 806 local cases) and 2,801 asymptomatic cases (2,556 imported cases and 245 local cases).

Notification of Readjustments to the Partial Lockdown Zones and Restricted Zones in Baiyun District (No.22)

Upon the comprehensive assessment of the current COVID-19 situation, in accordance with the principle of sorting and batching, the partial lockdown zones and restricted zones in Baiyun district are hereby adjusted as follows:

I. Containment measures will be lifted in grid No.127 of Renhe Town. It will be subject to normalized administration measures.

II. Containment measures will be lifted in lockdown and partial lockdown zones throughout Songzhou Subdistrict. These areas will be subject to normalized administration measures.

III. Lockdown measures will remain in place for Qiaode Garden (No.1, 3, 5, 7 of Qiaode Street; 101 No.9, 1 No.11, 2 No.11, 3 No.11, No.13, No.15, 1 No.17, 2 No.17, 2 No.19 of Qiaode Street; Qiaode Fire Station; 1 No.23 of Qiaode Street; 1 No.25 of Qiaode Street; No.27 of Qiaode Street; No.29 of Qiaode Street; No.33 of Qiaode Street) which is located within grid No.135 of Tongde Subdistrict. Partial lockdown measures will remain in place for the area in grid No.135 which is encircled by the fencing of Qiaode Garden in the east, Yuexi South Road in the south, Xicha Road in the west, the fencing of Qiaode Garden in the north. Apart from the above-mentioned areas, containment measures will be lifted in the remainder of grid No.135. The remainder of grid No.135 will be adjusted to restricted zone. Containment measures in other areas remain unchanged.

IV. Containment measures will be lifted in grid No. 30, 32, 34 and 36 of Tangjing Subdistrict; lockdown measures will remain in place for building C1 of Yuntian Cuiting located within grid No.36, partial lockdown measures will remain in place for Yuntian Cuiting residential community. Containment measures in other areas remain unchanged.

V. Containment measures will be lifted in grid No.21 of Huangshi Subdistrict. It will be adjusted as a restricted zone. Containment measures in other areas remain unchanged.

VI. Lockdown measures will remain in place for the following areas in Baiyunhu Subdistrict: No. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 of Datang 1st Lane, Huanjiao Village; No. 5-1, 5, 6, 8 of Datang West Street; No. 4, 6, 8, 10 of Xiyue 1st Lane, Huanjiao Village; No. 6 and 1 No.6 of Xiyue Avenue. Partial lockdown measures will remain in place for No.1, 5, 7, 12 of Xiyue 1st Lane and No.4, 8 of Xiyue Avenue in Huanjiao Village. Apart from the above-mentioned areas, containment measures will be lifted in the remainder of Huanjiao Village. The remainder of Huanjiao Village will be adjusted to restricted zone. Containment measures in other areas remain unchanged.

VII. Containment measures will remain in place in lockdown and partial lockdown zones in Baiyun District in accordance with the requirements of the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center.

Containment measures will be strictly implemented in the areas mentioned above according to the requirements set out in Notice of Guangzhou Municipal COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center (No. 32). Containment measures will be adjusted on a dynamic basis following developments in the epidemic situation.

This notification shall take effect from the date of its promulgation.
