On April 17, Guangzhou reported 23 local confirmed cases (of which 5 were previously labelled as asymptomatic patients), 6 local asymptomatic cases, 2 imported confirmed cases (one of which was previously labelled as asymptomatic) and 5 imported asymptomatic cases. 3 COVID-19 patients have been newly cases discharged, while 206 still remain in the hospital.
As of 24:00 April 17, 2022, a total of 5,321 positive cases have been reported in the city, including 2,552 confirmed cases (1,807 imported cases and 745 local cases) and 2,769 asymptomatic cases (2,516 imported cases and 253 local cases).
Local Cases Details
The 1st patient is a 41-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District. He was identified as an asymptomatic case on April 16 and has now been diagnosed as a confirmed case.
The 2nd patient is a 39-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District. She was identified as an asymptomatic case on April 16 and has now been diagnosed as a confirmed case.
The 3rd patient is a 52-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Tangqi Street, Tangjing Subdistrict, Baiyun District. She was identified as an asymptomatic case on April 16 and has now been diagnosed as a confirmed case.
The 4th patient is a 72-year-old Chinese man who lives in Xiangjing Garden, Huangshi Subdistrict, Baiyun District. He was identified as an asymptomatic case on April 15 and has now been diagnosed as a confirmed case.
The 5th patient is a 37-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Qiaode Garden, Tongde Subdistrict, Baiyun District. She was identified as an asymptomatic case on April 15 and has now been diagnosed as a confirmed case.
The 6th patient is a 15-year-old Chinese girl who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 7th patient is a 42-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 8th patient is a 52-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 9th patient is a 53-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 10th patient is a 23-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Xianggangwai Street, Tangjing Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 11th patient is a 39-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 12th patient is a 70-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Xiangjing Garden, Huangshi Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 13th patient is a 36-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Xiangjing Garden, Huangshi Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 14th patient is a 3-year-old Chinese girl who lives in Huangshi Garden, Huangshi Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 15th patient is a 40-year-old Chinese man who lives in Qiaode Garden, Tongde Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 6th – 15th patients were found among quarantined close contacts.
The 16th patient is a 68-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 17th patient is a 15-year-old Chinese boy who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 18th patient is a 2-year-old Chinese boy who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 19th patient is a 31-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 20th patient is a 30-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 21st patient is a 27-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 22nd patient is a 14-year-old Chinese girl who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 23rd patient is a 54-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Gangbei Road, Tangjing Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 16th – 23rd patients were detected in lockdown and partial lockdown zones.
The 1st asymptomatic patient is a 44-year-old Chinese man who lives in Xiangjing Garden, Huangshi Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 2nd asymptomatic patient is a 1-year-old Chinese girl who lives in Xiangjing Garden, Huangshi Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 3rd asymptomatic patient is a 27-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 4th asymptomatic patient is a 77-year-old Chinese man who lives in Qiaode Street, Tongde Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 1st-4th asymptomatic patients were found among quarantined close contacts.
The 5th asymptomatic patient is a 50-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Dagang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 6th asymptomatic patient is an 80-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dagang Middle Street, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.
The 5th and 6th asymptomatic patients were detected in lockdown and partial lockdown zones.
Epidemiological investigation showed all the above confirmed and asymptomatic cases were found among quarantined close contacts or in lockdown/partial lockdown zones and have been transferred to Guangzhou No. 8 People's Hospital for quarantine and treatment.
From today (April 18), some metro stations that were previously sealed off due to COVID-19 concerns have resumed operations.
Baiyun Culture Square, Baiyun Park, and Feixiang Park stations along Metro Line 2, Datang and Lijiao stations along Metro Line 3, and Nanzhou station along the GuangFo Line and Metro line 2 have resumed operation.
Ten metro stations remained closed. They are Sanyuanli and Jiangxia stations of Metro Line 2; Ezhangtan, Tongde, Shangbu, Julong, Shitan, Xiaoping, and Shijing stations of Metro Line 8, and Renhe station of Metro Line 3. Moreover, the Exits E, F, and G of Yuangang station of Metro Line 7 and Exit C of Ximenkou station of Metro Line 1 were closed temporarily.
