GZFAO | Updated:2022-04-15

On April 13, lockdown measures were lifted on Building 1, Gongyuanhui Community, Donghuan Subdistrict, Panyu District after a CDC assessment.

On March 30, Donghuan Subdistrict reported that one inbound traveler from outside Guangdong tested positive for COVID-19 during home quarantine. The patient was diagnosed as a confirmed case with mild symptoms. Due to concerns over the spread of the virus, Building 1 of Gongyuanhui Community was immediately put under lockdown. As of April 12, except for the above-mentioned patient, all close contacts and people in the lockdown zone have tested negative. The sewage and environment samples were also negative. After a CDC assessment, the lockdown was lifted on April 13.

We would like to thank residents in Donghuan Subdistrict for their cooperation with the control measures during the lockdown. However, as COVID-19 is still around, we urge all residents to follow safety protocols as per Notification No. 22 and 24 of Panyu District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center. Please strengthen personal protection, wear masks correctly, practice good hygiene habits, and refrain from touching your eyes, mouth, and nose before cleaning your hands. If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, a reduced sense of smell or taste, stuffy nose, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhea, please report immediately to your neighborhood (village) committee, employer or hotel, and go to a nearby fever clinic. You must truthfully inform the healthcare workers of your travel history and practice good personal protection during the visit. In such cases, public transportation should be avoided.
