Notice of 1 Confirmed COVID-19 Case Found in Regular Testing

On April 10, Huadu District reported that one confirmed case was found during a routine PCR testing. Given the initial epidemiological investigation and requirements of COVID-19 control and prevention, the lockdown zones, partial lockdown zones and restricted zones in Huadu District are classified as follows (refer to the map for more information):

1. Lockdown zones: Wuzhou Huayuan Community, Xinhua Street shall be completely locked down. Residents shall not leave their homes and goods will be delivered to their doorsteps. A management approach will be made by the name list of the people in the lockdown zone to implement home quarantine measures strictly and safeguard residents' basic living needs. All commercial and trade services, entertainment venues, catering services, shops and mass fitness and cultural facilities will be completely closed and suspended.

2. Partial lockdown zones: South of Yunshan Avenue, north of Tiyu Road and Baihua Commercial Plaza, east of Huadu Sports Center and Tiangui Road, and west of Tianmei River (except the lockdown zones). In the above areas, residents shall not leave the zone, and deliveries shall be collected on a staggered schedule. Gatherings are strongly prohibited. The following measures shall be taken:

(1) All catering venues will be temporarily closed. A certain number of well-ventilated supermarkets and farmer's markets will keep open, and their staff shall wear masks properly during service and shall not leave the partial lockdown zone. All types of events including large-scale meetings, trainings, shows, expositions and promotional activities as well as mass activities such as park sightseeing, folk events and square dancing are strictly restricted.

(2) Effective control and prevention measures will be adopted for people in the partial lockdown zone. Residents shall not leave the zone, and deliveries shall be collected on a staggered schedule.Residents will need to show their travel vouchers when leaving home for shopping, collecting deliveries, or taking tests according to the prescribed time slots. This will ensure such trips are made on a staggered schedule.

3. Restricted zones: All areas in Xinhua Street (except the lockdown zones and partial lockdown zones). Social management shall be strengthened and gatherings shall be strictly restricted. The following measures shall be taken:

(1) Individual prevention is required in the zone. Outdoor activities shall be reduced and gatherings are strictly restricted.

(2) All supermarkets and farmer's markets in the zone shall strengthen ventilation, restrict the flow of population and encourage online payment. The business scale and hours of restaurants and public canteens shall be controlled. Dining-in is temporarily prohibited and takeaways are provided. foblic transportation shall restrict its passengers to below 50% of its capacity.

(3) All people in the zone shall take one nucleic acid test within 24 hours. Times of testing will be determined based on actual on-site requirements.

All the control and prevention measures in the above zones shall be implemented in accordance with relevant epidemic prevention regulations. Residents can dial the following numbers should they have any difficulties in life or in seeking medical assistance:

The above measures will take effect since the release of this notice and will be dynamically adjusted.

Currently, 9 key exposure sites in our district have been identified (see appendix). In response to epidemic control and prevention requirements, all people who have been to the key exposure sites during the risk time shall report to their communities (villages) immediately and take a nucleic acid test at the nearest testing site while conducting health management in compliance with communities (villages) and the CDC.

We should stay vigilant in our COVID-19 response. Please wear a mask properly and comply with the safety protocols, including scanning and presenting the health codes as required, taking your temperature, and monitoring your health. Once you develop any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, decreased sense of smell and taste, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhea, please go to the nearest fever clinic immediately with proper protective measures. In this case, public transport should be avoided.
