Notice of Panyu district COVID-19 control and prevention command (No 20)

Given the current COVID-19 situation, Panyu District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command decided to impose temporary management measures on certain areas of Zhongcun Street in Panyu District (effective April 7, 2022). Details are as follows:

1. Lockdown measures will be imposed on Building G of No.8 Zhongyun Road, Zhongcun Street (7 Days Inn). Residents shall undergo mandatory home quarantine. Necessary services and goods will be delivered to their doorsteps.

2. Partially lockdown measures will be in place on No.8, 18, and 20 Zhongyun Road, Zhongcun Street (the whole Wuyang Tea Plaza). Residents are not allowed to leave the zone and gatherings are strictly restricted.

(1) Checkpoints will be manned 24/7 at all entrances. People can only enter but not exit the zone; no vehicle will be allowed to pass.

(2) Residents shall stay home as much as possible, reduce social contacts, and disinfect and ventilate their homes properly. Going out shopping will not be allowed. They can only leave home to fetch deliveries and living supplies as instructed by the community workers.

(3) Where anyone needs to leave the zone for medical or other special reasons, evidence shall be provided to the on-site command for examination and approval. Proper protective and disinfection measures shall be in place at entry and exit.

(4) All non-essential facilities such as business and trade service facilities, entertainment venues, restaurants, stores, gyms, cultural centers, childcare institutions, and on-site tutoring centers will be suspended.

3. Restrictive measures will be implemented in the area encircled by Renmin Road in the west, Provincial Highway 257 of Shiguang Road in the north, Fuchui Road in the east, and Zhongyun Road in the south. Social activities and gatherings will be restricted and residents shall not leave the zone unless necessary.

(1) Gatherings such as parties and group dining will be restricted.

(2) People shall make appointments, take their temperature, scan and present their health codes, and wear a mask properly before entering indoor public venues. Their visits must be staggered.

(3) The public transit services will be temporarily closed.

(4) Facilities providing basic necessities, such as shopping malls, supermarkets, and farmer's markets, shall control their visitor numbers.

(5) Dine-in services will be suspended; only food takeout and deliveries are available.

(6) All non-essential facilities such as business and trade service facilities, entertainment venues, stores, gyms, cultural centers, childcare institutions, and on-site tutoring centers will be suspended.

4. COVID-19 testing will be conducted regularly as arranged by Panyu District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command.

5. Residents who have been to Wuyang Tea Plaza, Zhongcun Street from 9:00 on April 2 to 6:00 on April 7 shall report to their residential community as soon as possible, take a PCR test nearby, and wait for further notice.

The above measures will take effect since the release of this notice and will be dynamically adjusted.
