The National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou is providing world-class computing power to support the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into an "international science and technology innovation center with global influence".

The National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou (Nansha), together with the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou to the north and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) to the south, closely connecting Guangzhou supercomputer capacity with Hong Kong's science and technology innovation.

"Now, any HKUST teacher using Guangzhou supercomputer is like using a Local Area Network," said Gao Min, dean of the HKUST Fok Ying Tung Research Institute.

So far, hundreds of Hong Kong research teams have made great achievements using Guangzhou supercomputer, Gao added.

Ten of the 16 sub-centers of the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou are located in the Greater Bay Area.

In the next few years, the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou will continuously improve its system capability and application service capability, expand its service field and scope, as well as provide comprehensive support for technological innovation in the Greater Bay Area.
