The foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government held an online meeting with the office of international affairs of Gwangju of South Korea to discuss the 2022 work plan for friendly exchanges between the two cities on Feb 10.

Guangzhou and Gwangju have maintained continuous communication over the past 26 years, especially in helping each other during the COVID-19 pandemic, which further deepened the friendship between both cities.

The year 2022 is the year of cultural exchange between China and South Korea, and the two cities plan to carry out a series of communication activities covering music, art, e-sports, education, medical care, artificial intelligence, and other areas.
