The Bocuse d'Or 2022 China Selection will be held in Guangzhou in the second quarter of this year, officials annouced during a press conference on Jan 18.
Bocuse d'Or was founded in 1987 by Paul Bucose from France, one of the world's leading chefs. It is a professional event for the top catering, gourmet food and luxury hotel industries. It is held every two years and the final is held in Lyon, France.
Bocuse D'or Academy China has invited top young chefs from the country since January, and 12 will be selected to conduct a two-day cooking competition in Guangzhou in the second quarter of this year.
At the press conference, Bocuse D'or Academy China and Guangzhou Vocational School of Tourism & Business signed a cooperation agreement, making the school the first selection base for Bocuse d'Or 2022 China Selection in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In May 2018, Bocuse d'Or 2018 Asia Pacific Selection was held in Guangzhou for the first time, with 110 chefs from all over the world competing against each other. In the end, China advanced to the final in Lyon.
