Guangzhou's Huadu district reported one positive case on Dec 16 after carrying out nucleic acid testing of international cargo flight crews. The individual was transferred to the Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital and diagnosed as an imported asymptomatic case.
The individual, living in Block C of Jinlian Market, 90 Shangye Dadao, Xinhua Street (新华街商业大道90号金联市场C座), was the cargo pilot for international cargo flight CZ5043 on Dec 12.
At 6 am on Dec 13, after returning to Guangzhou, the pilot went to the concentrated single-room residence of inbound crew members via closed loop. At 4 pm on the same day, after his nucleic acid test result came back negative, he returned to his home in Huadu for health monitoring. On Dec 15, a routine nucleic acid test result came back positive.
Huadu carried out nucleic acid testing for all residents and visitors from outside the district from Dec 16 to 17.
The focus zone for testing and transport restrictions covers Jinlian Community, Zijing Yuan residential area, and the area enclosed by Shuguang Dadao, Tiangui Road and Xinhua Road.
