Guangzhou and Sydney, Australia celebrated the 35th anniversary of the establishment of their Friendship City relationship on Dec 1 during the 28th NSW-Guangdong Joint Economic Meeting.

Achievements made by Guangzhou and Sydney in communication and cooperation since the two cities established a Guangzhou, Sydney celebrate 35th anniversary of Friendship City relationship relationship in 1986 were reviewed and officials from both sides noted that they will keep carrying out more practical cooperation and cultural communication.

Wang Huanqing, deputy mayor of Guangzhou said that series activities held in both Guangzhou and Sydney this year have brought people in the two cities closer.

Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore expressed her hope that more cooperation can be conducted in areas such as green development.
