The Thai festival Loy Kra Thong was celebrated at Nansha district of Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Friday. Loy Kra Thong falls on the 15th day of the 12th lunar month in the Thai calendar, at a time when the full moon lights up the sky. It is one of the most romantic festivals in Thailand, during which people will put handmade lights on the water to dispel all bad luck and misfortune, as well as show thanks to the goddess of the river for letting people use water.
