The Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award) has been held four times since 2012.

It welcomed over 150 cities from more than 50 countries and regions from all over the world to compete for the award and the number of total projects has now exceeded 1,300.

Pressing issues such as infrastructure, public services, urban planning, governance, partnerships, technology, resilient cities, social inclusion and gender equality were covered in these projects.
