Foreigners aged 12 to 17 in Guangzhou can now get COVID-19 vaccines according to the Vaccination Guidance for Foreigners Aged 18 and Above on the basis of being well-informed, signing up voluntarily, self-funded, and acknowledge possible risks or side-effects related to being vaccinated. 

Foreigners aged 12 to 17 who study and live in Guangzhou and want to get vaccinated may apply for the COVID-19 vaccine on the Yuejiantong (粤健通) WeChat account. Guangzhou currently uses domestically-developed inactivated COVID-19 vaccines, and two doses are required.

Note

Foreigners who have participated in the Guangdong provincial social security and medical insurance program and those from countries that have signed a reciprocal free vaccination agreement with China can enjoy the same treatment as Chinese citizens by presenting valid medical insurance payment records or their passport on site. 

Other foreign citizens can get the COVID-19 vaccine at their own expense. The cost is 100 yuan ($15) per dose. 

Foreign citizens aged 12 to 17 who are students shall take part in the free COVID-19 vaccination program organized by their schools. Those without school arrangements can book a vaccine by themselves.

Scan the QR Code to make a booking on the COVID-19 vaccination service for foreigners section on the Yuejiantong WeChat account.

After the appointment is successfully made, foreigners can bring their permanent residence ID card or passport with a valid residence permit as well as their medical insurance payment record, and go to the designated site at the appointed time for vaccination accompanied by their guardian.

Before vaccination, recipients shall sign the Letter of Informed Consent and the Letter of Commitment, and inform medical staff of their health conditions. Medical personnel will determine whether they are eligible for the vaccination. Please pay close attention to your physical condition within seven days after the vaccination. If you feel unwell, seek medical help immediately.
