According to the Notice on Further Strengthening Urban Traffic Control and Prevention Measures, in order to further strengthen the city's urban traffic control and prevention measures, the following measures will be implemented for Guangzhou urban transportation from Aug 4:

Subway: passengers entering stations to take the subway must have their temperature taken, display their health code, and wear a mask.

Regular public transportation: passengers on buses must have their temperature taken and wear a mask. Passengers with red or yellow codes are not allowed to take public transportation.

Taxi service and online car-hailing: passengers who take taxis or hail a car online at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and various railway stations (Guangzhou Station, Guangzhou East Railway Station, Guangzhou South Railway Station, Guangzhou North Railway Station, Qingsheng Station, Xintang Station) shall display their health code and wear a mask. Management units of taxi waiting lanes at each station will inspect passengers and handle those with red or yellow codes as required.

In addition, authorities of all industries of municipal transportation will also step up their efforts to supervise ventilation, and clean and disinfect stops, stations and vehicles in their respective industry as well as provide personal protection measures for their staff. Meanwhile, the municipal transportation department also reminds the general public to pay attention to personal protection when traveling, and actively cooperate with relevant staff for COVID-19 prevention and inspection.
