Zhan Decun, Guangzhou municipal government's director of foreign affairs, met with Octavi De La Varga, secretary general of the World Congress of Metropolis (Metropolis), and the staff members from the secretariat of Metropolis online on July 15.

Issues like moving forward with Metropolis projects and deepening cooperation between Guangzhou and the Metropolis were discussed during the meeting.

A memorandum of cooperation between two sides was also signed.
