Wen Guohui, mayor of Guangzhou, met up with Jorge Azcon Navarro, mayor of Zaragoza, Spain online on July 13, signing a memorandum for enhancing mutual communication and cooperation.

Zaragoza is strong in the transportation industry and has rich historical and cultural resources. The city's major industries include automotive, logistics, agriculture and tourism.

Jorge Azcon Navarro said that Zaragoza and Guangzhou share huge cooperation potential and the signing of the memorandum will mark a new start of the friendship between the two cities. He expressed his hope that more communication and cooperation with Guangzhou can be carried out in the future. 

According to the memorandum, the two cities will send delegations in exchange for friendly communication and enhance cooperation in areas spanning transportation, manufacturing, trade, urban planning, culture, science, technology and environmental protection.
