On June 20, we have decided that differentiated risk-based containment measures for 5 areas in Liwan District will be lifted and adjusted after we got the approval from Guangzhou COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center.

One area has been relieved from the lockdown, which is Jinxing Tower located on No. 691 of Remin North Road, Jinhua Street, Liwan District.

Differentiated risk-based containment measures for 4 areas have been adjusted, including Building 2 of Guanggang New Town Jinmaofu, Building 4 of Zhonghai Huawan D Block, and Building 5 of Poly Haide Residence of Baihedong Street; six, seven, and eight association of Hainan Economic Association of Zhongnan Street. The current lockdown measures imposed in the aforementioned 4 areas will be adjusted to the containment measures stipulated in Notification No.21 issued by Guangzhou COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center.

According to Guangzhou COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command CenterNotification No.21, differentiated risk-based containment measures for some of the closed and restricted areas in Fangcun, Liwan District will be adjusted as follows:

1. Access control. The residents of Fangcun area shall not leave this area and no visitors will be allowed into the area. Security check will be installed at the entrance and exit of the neighborhood 24/7. Residents of the neighborhood shall enter and exit by presenting valid documentation. Strictly implement containment measures including checking temperature, inspecting documentation, and scanning health codes.

2. Policies in public places. Public places including culture, sports, and entertainment facilities in the area, and enclosed commercial spaces (cinemas, theaters, karaoke bars, and bars, etc.) will continue to be shut down. Public transportation and key indoor spaces including barber shops, public bathing facilities, farmers' markets, wholesale markets, department stores and supermarkets in Baihedong Street will be temporarily shut down. Aforementioned key indoor spaces in other areas shall strictly implement containment measures including checking temperature, scanning health codes, and limiting traffic. Dine-in services are forbidden.

3. Traffic control. Apart from vehicles shipping supplies, emergency rescue vehicles, and disease control vehicles and staff operating vehicles, no other vehicle or people shall enter or exit Fangcun area.

4. Stay safe. Residents should closely monitor their health status. Residents are required to report their health status through health code every day. If the residents have any of the following symptoms: fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, weaker sense of smell (taste), diarrhea, they should report to the neighborhood in a timely manner and seek medical help at nearby fever clinics. Residents should wear masks and practice social distancing when going out. Residents should avoid visiting others or gatherings.
