Guangzhou Yuexiu District COVID-19 Prevention and Command Center Notification on Recent Efforts to Stop the Spread (No. 4)

To curb the spread of COVID-19, and to safeguard people's safety and health, in light of the present state in Yuexiu District, we notify arrangements about COVID-19 prevention and control work as follows:

1. Yuexiu District will conduct a new round of universal PCR testing on all residents and people work in these 11 Streets on June 10: Beijing, Liurong, Guangta, Renmin, Dongshan, Nonglin, Datang, Zhuguang, Dadong and Kuangquan. Please follow the notification and instructions of community committee staff and arrive at designated testing station for PCR testing according to the set schedule for each area in an orderly manner.

If you were just vaccinated for COVID-19 (either the first or second dose) within 48 hours, you should postpone the PCR testing. Please follow the instructions of the staff on site, make sure to wear a mask throughout the process and keep a distance of at least 1 meter away from others. Please avoid talking and gatherings.

2. If you have a yellow Health Code, please go to the testing point as indicated as soon as possible so your movement will not be affected.

3. If you have been to high or medium-risk areas or key sites for epidemic control, or if you have contacted people who tested positive for COVID-19 or their close contacts recently, you must report to the Neighborhood Committee and be cooperative with the epidemiological investigation without concealment.   

4. During the Dragon Boat Festival, please follow the relevant epidemic control requirements, try to stay where you are, and do not leave Guangzhou or the province unless necessary; reduce visiting relatives and friends and gathering; dragon boat race, dragon boat banquet and other activities will be suspended to lower the risk of epidemic transmission.

5. Any individual or organization fails to implement the above measures as required will be subjected to legal responsibilities in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Management and Punishment, theLaw of the People's Republic of China on Emergency Response and the Regulations on Preparedness for and Response to Emergent Public Health Hazards.
