A cultural exchange project between Guangzhou and the Italian city of Turin - the first since the two cities signed a cooperation contract in February this year - kicked off in Parc Pearl River on April 19.

The project symbolizes the friendly relationship between Guangzhou and Turin created by the cooperation contract, which stated that the two cities will carry out more cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, sports, education and culture.

Parc Pearl River is expected to be built into an incubation park for innovation and entrepreneurship featuring the integration of culture and technology.

It has gathered together innovative companies managing areas such as digital music technology, the research and development of musical instruments and audio-visual equipment, music and film production, animation and game production, as well as art education and training.
